Has anyone ever tried to install QD flush cups into a synthetic stock? I want to mount one on the side of a Savage Mark II rimfire with a pretty thin synthetic stock.

Thanks for the feedback. I went to my local gun store and they probably thought it was an odd mod to a stock. They suggested just buy a new stock...

I've looked at the same idea for a kimber hunter
there are qd inserts that glue in but I like the ones with a screw post on the bottom to put into a backing inside the butt stock
not sure how to get backing into the fore end

Drill the pilot hole and grind out clearance for the backing plate so it’s flush or just under the barrel channel.

Thanks for including the RDSC link. I ordered the flush mounts from this Canadian site. Its a little pricey though at 40CAD each cup...

They’re the way to go for a hollow synthetic stock, the grovtec don’t have the backing base and would be a pita to put in a hollow stock. The noveske are very well designed and well made.
