These new generation of scope mounts using quick detachable levers, that go on Picatinni rails...do they all give you a repeatable zero, if you have to take it off each time to transport?

Or can I expect it to be off by one or two minutes of angle?

Back in the 1980's, many didn't trust the QD mounts in those days, not sure if they are better on today's ACOG's, and precision rifles (or do precision guys never use QD mounts, except in fictional action movies???)

I would certainly hope not. The plain vanilla Weavers detach pretty quick, and do much better than that! I have won a few bets with guys at the range by removing and replacing a Weaver-mounted scope between shots, and have never seen more than about half a minute change.

They cost fifty bucks for rings and bases! :D

I have a Vortex ADR mount on my XCR and its never off by more than a click or two when I take the scope off and put it back on. Often I don't have to make any adjustments at all.

Good ones often return to very close to zero, not much more than a click or two off. One pieces are obviously more repeatable than two piece.
