Its that time of year again. Have you got anything new for the hunting trip this fall?

I got a new quad box and am lloking to restock it with goodies. (tire plug kit, spark plugs,etc..)

I just bought a brand new 2008 Yamaha Grizzly, but I need to get me a gun boot for her, just put on a Warn winch, thinking on some ITP Mudlites but hear they wear down rather quickly on gravel and pavement ??

They sure do, course on gravel & pavement they all wear quickly but reg Mudlites faster than most!

I recommend a set of Mudlite Radials. I am completely happy with both dry traction & mud capabilities while giving a very good ride! I run 4lbs.
For a non radial tire it's still hard to beat the old Mud Bugs, better in mud than reg Mud Lites & wear much better.

Also on any new bike check the toe out, you want just a wee bit (1/8 - 1/4"), seems most kids that put these bikes together out of the crate neglect to check alignment.

Thanks, Senior for the recommendations. I take it your refering to the XTR Radials?

Super7, A winch in the back is a good idea for sure. I have seen a few with one in the front and back, makes sense if there is nothing forward of you to latch onto!

Bungy cords, more bundgy cords, the black rubber ones, not the crappy nylon woven ####ty ones. A light that plugs into your 12v outlet. At least 200' of good rope. :) Oh, lets not forget a thermos of good strong coffee.

Tire repair kit and a small 12V air compressor. You never know...

What? are you f'n kiddin? What about a stand up shower stall, a chiropractor, maf'nsuse, hooker, big screentv, microwave, washer and dryer, fireplace, hair dryer, blow up doll, and the list goes on....

Yes XTR radials. :)

Bearclaws are a great all around tire too but are rougher riding than most. IMHO

Ditto to huntingstuffs recommend,
TOILET PAPER...never leave home with-out it. ;)

gitrdon: Not sure about the washer & dryer but the blow up doll sounds interesting, although maybe a tad cold in hunting season :D

I carry a small electric compressor, plugs into the same 12v outlet that you suggested he use for a light. It's small and also has a light on it (two birds with one stone). What in particular did you find so ridiculous about throwing one into your box? Mine has come in handy on more than one occasion. I also throw in a couple extra valve stems and a small 4-in-one tool that you can use to pull it into place if you rip one out spinning in the mud.

For sure

A flat tire brings things to a halt in a hurry. I consider the tire repair kit and an air pump necessary items. We also used the compressor to fill a small dinghy for crossing some water. You could use a manual pump also but either way I agree with RD. You need an air pump!

I made this box to strict design specifications...

Hmmm... I never thought about that but I wouldn't go riding with you if you had all that in your box. :D

A good machete mounted where Ninepointer mounted his axe and at least 4 feet of chain with hooks at both ends. I like what Gitrdun mentioned and maybe try to mount a hooker?

Tires

Why run on pavement! Any tire will wear quickly asphalt.

Mud Lites and the Swamp Lites are good choices- the centre lug helps smoothen the ride on hard packed trails.. So too are the Mud Bugs if you're in a bit mire mud.

As for other accessories: Warn Winch Kit with snatch block, coil of good rope, some spare tie downs and bungies, small hatchet, fire starter, tire repair kit, disposable camera (as a backup)
