Looking to get a quad rail mount system for my Stag AR model 1R. I'm interested in the UTG Quad Rail Mount as seen on the Questar website.
Wondering if the Carbine Length will fit the Stag 1R.
Thank you for your help

Daniel Defence 7" Omega Free Floating Rail
All you need and simple as 123 to install! Wolervine just got some in.

yes it will fit .
It will fit and it will work fine and look fine for a range gun. The rails are dimensionally sound and will work with accessories. If you do a lot of armed halo jumps, or rattle your gun around in the back of a dusty pickup over rough desert roads, it may not work out as well.

Having said that, the DD Omegas are nice, and easy to install, and free-float leading to slightly better accuracy (which you may or may not notice depending on your skills, optics, ammo, and shooting style).

Like Kevin says, the UTG is an airsoft item. However, if you are like me and only want a rail system to hold a Surefire light and a vertical grip then it is ok to use. I bought a cheap rail on Ebay since I didn't plan on attaching any sights or lasers to it. Now if I do any more upgrades and want to attach any sights or lasers to my rig I'm gonna research the various sytems out there. Then I'm gonna go out and spend the money and get a decent rail system.

I wouldn't trust an airsoft rail to be secure enough for a vert grip, but to each their own

Your repeated attacks on UTG products underscore your disgust with them, but plenty of people have had good use out of the rails. I had a UTG rail on a gun for a year of regular, somewhat vigorous use, and it worked fine. The Aluminum was as hard and almost as scuff-resistant as anything else, it locked up fine and stayed put - the only thing bad you could say about it was that the bolts securing the two halves were of light cross-section (maybe #6), likely not that corrosion-resistant, and went into bare aluminum without inserts. Now I run a better rail, but so what? How many credible reports of a UTG rail separating halves, tearing off a rail, wearing down with repeated mounting/dismounting of Larue products or some other type of failure are out there? None that I'm aware of.

Airsoft does not automatically equal "crap for all other uses". There's a spectrum of other use from careful benching to tossing on the ground.

Well,

I defense of Reapers's comment, Do we have to wait for someone to put a round through his hand to declare a product junk ?

For me out of spec cuts it on 5 different railed products that i have seen is enough to call it unworthy to be put on one of my guns...

And honeslty, when you see Larue, DD, SWS or KAC stuff... you dont really want to deal with anyting less...

Well it's not like I have a death grip on the grip when I shoot. And for just going to the range it is good enough. It's not like I'm gonna take my restricted rifle and do anything more heavy duty than put double taps into paper targets. :( But I do understand what you mean. Eventually when my finances are more stable I'd like to pick up something a little more higher end than what I currently use.
