Quad rail on Dominion Arms 556

What's the best way to remove the factory fitted quad rail? (i.e. for cleaning, trying different equipment) Thanks for any help!

Remove your muzzle device, punch out the roll pin holding the gas tube in the front sight gas block, punch out the two taper pins holding the front sight to the barrel. They are tapered and only come out one direction, punch out from the left side of the rifle (side with the serial # on the receiver) to the right. Once both pins are out pull the front sight off the barrel being careful not to damage the gas tube. remove the front ring off the quad rail. You can leave this ring off when you re=assemble if you want to free float the barrel. The ring over the barrel nut holds the quad rail on to the barrel nut.

*That* was infinitely more helpful than my post!. Thanks firlake - all the posts in the other thread made it seem to me to be much more complicated. I might even try to tackle this to install a low profile gas block... :)

I took the quad rail off and installed a delta ring and magpul hand guard last night it was pretty simple took bout 20 min. No cut off wheel needed
