Hey folks... Looking for quadrail options for SU-16. I know i know... get an AR :) I know i know... keep the SU-16 light :)

Used the search and saw a thread on modifying a FN FAL quadrail. I was wondering if anyone has tried a CASV rail? I am thinking about a Vltor clone for this.

Or any other suggestions (on rail options) you may have are appreciated!!

Cheers!!!

EDIT: Not a fan of the Keltec quadrail and Redlion foreend is ok but would like picatinny right across the top.

I've run a CASV on my SU and now have the modified FN FAL on it. The CASV was pretty much a direct bolt on with only having to file a groove in one support rib but it was a bit heavier than the FN FAL is and the CASV has to be removed to clean where as the FN has a top rail that removed for cleaning. The FN is also a little lower in profile as it sits flush with the receivers original rail rather than being bolted to it.

Here's the CASV on mine.

Yeah I get a lot of questions when I whip it out and have had some serious scrutiny from a couple of Conservation Officers when I'm shooting out in the bush. They question it more than the LAR 10rd mags.
