quality guns, who makes them

considering buying a three band enfield, Armi Sport makes them but I have heard that Armi is junk guns with bad steel. anyone familiar with who does the good stuff?

Armi Sport is one of only 2 makers of those guns. As I unerstand it they get decent reviews and are somewhat accurate once defarbed.

I haven;t heard of junk steel, though I have had one negative experience with an Armi Sport product that I won;t comment on as its still in the resolution process. Was a manufacturign fault though IMHO, not a poor quality steel issue.

Parker Hales seem pretty good. See them kicking around once in a while. I sold mine, it wouldn't fit in my gun safe or the car trunk. I like the two bander. The musketoon I can't shoot worth beans.

just hard to tell what is good and what is just cheap
here that pedersoli is good

ended up getting a 45 cal southern mountain rifle from track of the wolf
its 1:60 but will try minie ball anyways
some of the early rifles were slow twist
then again there is paper patch minie
which might just work

going to be fun working it up

bought the kit which they ship
they will ship guns too
at this point individuals do not need an import permit
and there is no duty just sales tax
you need a gun license to pick them up from customs

For the record, I have an Armi Sport kentucky perc, and there's nothing junk about this gun, steel or otherwise.

I think the other ones are made by Armi San Marco, but not labelled as such.

Defarbed means removing all modern markings and changing inaccurate details to make the guns look more correct and period.
