Quality Handgun purchase

"I really don't understand your concern about the lack of safety on the M&P. If it is deemed safe enough for most of the security companies in Canada so much so that the largest ones such as G4S carry them, it is certainly safe enough for you. A few police services are also going to be making the switch.

That being said. The most reliable in that group is likely the M&P, the least is the Beretta. Your best bet is to check them all out in person and see which one suits you best. "

- So If I drop my SIG P226 on the ground while a round is chambered there is a safety feature that will keep the firearm from discharging.

What are the safety features of the M&P? I'm ignorant as I have searched this numerous times and found little info.

Glock and M&P both have internal safeties to prevent discharge when dropped. The external safeties on most guns are not there to prevent these kind of situations. I also do not rely on safties as anything mechanical can break. As said before, proper handling and control is your best safety.

CZ or Tanfoglio as mentioned previously. Gives you less expensive options to modify/change trigger and they are excellent pistols.
