I have a mosin project on the go, where it looks like only the receiver and scope mount will remain mosin design... (don't judge me, I know it's weird 
)
I had a scout mounted scope on it for a bit, (Leupold vx-3 handgun 2.5-8x32 which is really good) but now it's getting a brand new barrel and a scope mount so I intend to put a normal eye relief scope on, but the 1" ring limitation remains. I'm hoping to push this rifle further once the new barrel is made.
I'm looking at Zeiss Conquest HD5 line since they are all 1" I believe. And still assembled in Germany. And I find the rapid-z reticle interesting. Any reason I shouldn't be looking at them?
What else should I look at with those limitations?
Don't suggest Nikon please, I'm very angry at them still and they are on my boycott list.
