I'm sure I've given my 2 cents on glasses before, but I'll restate my opinions.
I truly believe that your eyewear (corrective properties notwithstanding) has far less to do with your shooting than people will have you believe.
There is probably something to be said on the difference between a $10 set of shooting glasses and a $100 set, but the law of diminishing returns is going to come into effect shortly there after.
I shot the highest scores and averages of my life wearing rangers. It had nothing to do with the glasses.
I decided to try the Pilla hype and bought a 5 lens set. I found (and still find) them less comfortable.
I don't buy into the hype of the 'high definition' promises, or how one colour makes the target 'jump out' at you. I don't find a noticeable difference while shooting.
Of the 5 lenses I own, I use 1 set 95% of the time (25 brownish colour). For the early flight looking into the sun, I keep the 15's handy. The other colours may come out if it is really dark with clouds (really really dark), if I keep an extra set for when it is raining, or maybe a colour change while under the lights.
I could easily make due with just the 1 set.
If you're a new shooter, sure get a quality set of glasses, but the $1000+ it costs for a new set of Pillas would be FAR BETTER spent on a set of Rangers and use the rest of the money for lessons and more practice.
My standard eye disclaimer. All of our eyes are different. What works for me, may not be the same for you.
