Hiyas,

Just curious as to what we're supposed to do with the critters that aren't listed in the quebec Hunting rulebook, if they're not in the book, does that mean we cant touch them? or does it mean it's a go year-round/no limit?

Basically, is it legal to shoot stuff like squirrels and porcupines and other non-listed critters?

Thanks

I looked in my copy of the hunting rules and it say (rough translation) If a species is not listed in the list of animals that can be hunted or no season has been given, it is protected. Squirrels and porcupine are protected. The porcupine is protected in most areas because they are easy to kill, tap them on the nose with a long stick, and is one of the few animals that can be eaten raw. It is considered a survival food source.
