Nice moose, small antlers = great eating (usually).
It's a myth that small moose are always better eating than a bigger moose. In my opinion, the situation with each hunting experience, how riled up was the bull, where did the moose live (think what the feed was, farmland vs deep muskeg bush), what stage of the rut, pre-rut, rut, post-rut etc... has much more to do with it.
Big moose just have more meat, and depending on the above factors, a big moose can be just as good or better than a small moose.
