We have a hunt booked to start Monday December 4 at Mirage Outfitters. On November 30, I received a call from Mirage saying the 'bous are few and far between, Most have already shed their antlers. If you are booked with another outfitter, call now to determine the hunting conditions. For additional detail, see my post under Quebec Winter Caribou Hunting.

On Friday December 1, we cancelled our hunt and rebooked for 2007. More details under Quebec Winter Caribou Hunting. It is a very good thing to be able to search the various hunting sites and find a class outfitter/lodge. If anyone is booked for the winter hunt in 22B, in early December call your outfitter for our options. Thanks.

While we cancelled our Dec 4 hunt and rebooked for 2007, we continue to watch the satellite maps of the herds each week. The 'bous seem to be far south and west of the 22 B hunting area. It is possible there are stragglers around as only 50 of the 650,000 'bous are wearing satellite collars. Did anyone actually hunt this year since late November? If so what results? Thanks.

yup we hunted 3 days at the end of nov and beginning of dec at kiskimaastakin...
how many caribou did we see in 22B?....0...zip...nada......yup it sucked...oh well

Hunted the last week of November at Donat Asselin. Saw about 100 caribou all together and shot two bulls. (myself) It was more like deer hunting in that you had to work at it rather than driving until you saw 40 or 50 and shot at them. Had a good time but the camp was a dump.

cheers Darryl

We aae watching the satellite maps on the Quebec website, at some time the 'bous have to turn around and nead back to the tundra. Is it possible to catch them on their return trip before the winter season enda on Feb 15/07? Thanks for any help.
