After a winter of shooting iron sights on my .22 revolver, I re-mounted my Burris Fast Fire 3 red dot. It took 10 shots to re-sight the red dot. However, in the process I noticed that a slight 'sliding' sound was evident from the FF3 whenever the handgun was rotated muzzle-up to muzzle-down (empty of rounds, naturally). It sounded as if something had come undone inside the sight and was moving around with handgun movement. The sight continued to hold accuracy for the rest of my shooting, but I am perplexed.
Have any other FF3 users had this quirk? If so, what was the cause and remedy?
I bought the sight (new) 3 years ago and it has only been used on .22 rifles and handguns (i.e. no recoil abuse factor).
