I was in Canadian Tire Thursday at the Quesnel BC, location. They did not have the rifles out yet but they were in the back. Didn't get to see what caliber a they had. But thought it was a plus for gun owners to have another store offer guns.

The CT in Trail, BC has rifles & shotties too, have had for about a year now I think. Just got a big shipment of SKS rifles too I believe. Lots of good firearm exposure to the mainstream shopper, quite a change in just the last few years!

Good - if true.

We raised hell with Quesnel CanTire when they bowed to PC pressure and stopped selling firearms while continuing to sell everything associated with their use - ammo, all kinds of accessories, scopes, etc. Hypocritically, the never stopped selling paint ball guns and look-alike guns by the bushel.

Another outlet will have the usual effect of competition - lowering prices, but the specialty shops will always have the edge with their selection and customer service.

The more stores we have selling firearms the better, especially around Toronto and the GTA. I know a few in Ontario now do like Parry Sound. If the general public see firearms in stores they will become more accepting of them just as they were in the past.

now if the jackasses at our CT would follow suit LOL ill have to stop in there next time im out that way

Down Niagara way a few CT stores are carrying them, The Welland one's selection has gone up in the last month and they even carry a few reloading supplies.

I was in there last week and saw the new cabinets being set up. I didn't ask about what was going to be inside but I didn't think it was going to be 50 air-soft guns. ;) (At least I hope it isn't 50 air-soft guns!)

Zeuce I was just up there to check and there wasn't any. I did talk to a lady behind the sports counter and she says that the manager doesn't see the need yet. But she is trying to convince him there is and she mentioned more ammo as well. She thought because the Quesnel store was getting rifles that the manager would see more need of them. She also mentioned that there was five hundred or so product codes they could choose from. I think if more people would go in there and ask, the manager would see the need.

It would be nice if more followed suit, I think Barrie is the closest one to Toronto that I know of.
