As the title says, anyone has any long term relationship with this O/U shotgun? Is it a good entry level sporting shot gun? Seems like a very good value at around 900-1100 new with good looking wood and features. Please anything would help me to make my decision on purchasing my first shotgun :D. Thanks in advance!

all the best,

Lawrence

I was looking at these as well. Seemed like a lot of shotgun for the price but could not find any solid reviews other than they are popular in New Zealand. Couldn't find anything on the Orcap model.

Yep, seems like it is somewhat popular entry level O/U in Europe countries as well, and non of those reviews really tell anything.

I had a Akkar Churchill 206 Hunter that I bought as a dedicated clays gun and shot exclusively for one year. I put roughly 4500 shells through mine, not a single issue. It didn't once fail to fire, fail to eject or pierce a primer in the lower barrel with Cheddite primers, and it was as tight when I sold it as when I bought it. They do make a good gun, they're just not common over here. My mistake was selling it, I'm not a fan of O/U's, personally prefer a slide-action, but I should have kept my Akkar.

Recently acquired a 206 Silver 28" with intention of using it as my field /bad weather clays gun. With over 500 rounds so far no problems whatsoever - solid, well balanced but very very tight out of the box - haven't patterned it yet but seems to shoot flat - recoil is like any other similar weight o/u. Don't have it dialed in but managed 21's in trap and skeet with it. Did change it to manual safety for clays use. The more I shoot it the more impressed I am. Anyone who has tried it are also surprised especially when I tell them what I paid for it. Not same level of build quality as my Beretta SP1 but seems a lot of gun for the money. Only time will tell if it'll stand up to more than casual use.

After alot researches, I finally bought my Beretta SP1 Sporting for my main clay & Skeet gun. I might try this Akkar out since the local CT store has it on sale for 900 dollars.. Thanks for your review and everyone else's !!!

All the best,

Happy shooting :D!
