Question about Alberta WMU 520

Hi,

Wondering if anyone with some first hand information can tell me how a road on crown land can be gated and locked. This is the DMI haul road for those who know the area. Does it have to do with their forest management agreement or is it just not legal at all.

If it's a gov. financed road on a "forced road allowance", it can be open...or it won't be... it is subject to their arbitrarily intended use (some "fire roads" are controlled access)...if it was "company built" with gov. permission, they can control access as they see fit for themselves unless otherwise stated on their permit to operate the road. Lots of "resource company roads" are wide open but most can be closed at their whim.
