question about blank ammo

I can't answer your question, but I wonder what one uses blanks for? Reenactments of some kind?
 
It wont damage your barrel however you will get barrel fouling quickly. Keep in mind that in semi autos, blanks will only function as single shot unless the gun is modified with a restrictor or similar to maintain enough back pressure to operate the slide.. Just not a good practice to use blanks in a normal gun. The IVI stuff is great. Plenty loud for sure.

Also be careful where you point the pistol as well. These were not intended for pistol use, if it is IVI it was intended to be used with the C1 SMG which is why all the surplus is 80s or early 90s dated (right when they got rid of the C1 SMG). They would put a Blank Fire Attachment on the end of the barrel so it would cycle the action. As you are shooting it out of a pistol there is no Blank Fire Attachment so it still puts out full force which can kill or injure someone at short ranges.

It shouldn't damage your barrel but as mentioned it will make it very dirty very quick.
