Hi all,
I recently accquired a used Ruger Single Six revolver and had a few cleaning questions, I just got into shooting last summer so forgive me if I am not using the right terms.

After shooting this gun for the first time I went to clean it, when I took the cylinder out, I noticed a fair bit of build up on the inside of the frame , right above where the cylinder meets the barrel. From what I can tell doing a bit of online looking this is lead build up, here is my question,

1) Is it safe to get a brass brush and scrub the bejeesus out of this until its all removed ? seems like it would be okay since the stainless steel frame should be much harder then the brass brush, but maybe there is something I don't know about the finish on the gun, I'd hate to damage it.

Second question ,

On the 22LR cylinder, one of the .... chambers? seems to get tight after shooting a bit. After I clean it with my bore snake, all six chambers can be loaded with almost not force at all, the cartidge almost drops into place. But after about 7-8 times through, one of the chambers starts to stick just a little bit when loading/unloading, just wondering if anyone else has seen that and if maybe I could do something other then ust a bore snake to clean this one,

Thanks for any advice and please correct my terminology anywhere I am using the wrong word :)

Cheers,
Trepis
