question about copy of RPAL

When is a copy of your RPAL ok and when do you need the original? Sorry if this si a stupid question. This would be for Ontario, in case it differs from province to province.

times I am thinking of would be:

storeage at home
pulled over by a cop on way to the range
buying a gun or ammo

Generally speaking, think of it like your drivers licence but for guns. You need to have it (original) on you when transporting/using your firearms and when buying (under most circumstances) and by that I mean in person. There is always different opinions and ways around it but why do it...it is a hell of a lot easier to have the original on you when pulled over.....

Now everyone remember I wrote "generally speaking".
