I have a Glock 35 ( 40 SW ) and I just purchased a barrel conversion to 9mm

1) Will the original mags for the 35 work ?
2) The mags from my Rock Island Arms ( 9mm ) look pretty much the same and they seem to fit so will they work ?
3) If not can someone recommend a mag that will work in the 35 that will work for 9mm

I know I could just try them but winter is still here and it will be a while before I get to the range.

Thanks in advance for the help

Glock 22(.40) Magazines and Glock 17(9mm) Magazines are the exact same external dimension's. The feed lips, followers and internal dimensions are different. You might get some 9mm to feed out of the .40 mags inconsistently, more than likely will double feed or the rounds will just pop out the top of the mag, You need magazines designed for the G17 9mm either in Glock or Magpul for consistent functionality. You also might find that you need to change the trigger housing and ejector out to a G17 part, but sometimes will be ok, just more brass in the face. Cheers

You will want some 9mm Glock or Magpul mags for sure as stated above. The .40 mags can work but are not the most reliable.

As for changing the trigger housing and ejector, I have used .40 to 9mm conversion barrels in an number of Glock 35 and 22's and have never had a problem using the original parts.

+1 for just getting the correct mags in 9mm to use with your conversion barrel.

Will ensure reliable feeding & function. It's not like it'll break the bank to obtain some.

NAA.

OEM Glock 17 magazines (Glock MF10017 Gen3/4 G17/34 10rd upc 764503100178) are your best bet.

North Sylva has OEM Glock 17 magazines in stock now, so any retailer can get them for you (via North Sylva).

I don't know about the trigger housing but a friend of mine had a 40 to 9 conversion and the factory 40 S&W extractor kept chipping at the bottom edge. Luckily another friend was the local police armourer and had a lifetime supply of 40 extractors so we never had to pay for one. That being said, for the little money it costs & time it takes to change it out I would swap extractors as well.

I just grabbed a few FAB Ultimags for G17 from Wolverine, haven't tried them, but way nicer made then Pmags, 2 floor plates, different colors.
