Question about how shipped firearms come

I sent a message on their website but I realized that I could get an answer here from anyone who has ordered a firearm from CanAm. When Canada Post brings it to your door, does it say anywhere on the box that it's a firearm?

Does it say "Canada Ammo" on it or anything else that would identify the box as containing firearms or firearm related items?

Firearms Act

SHIPPING BY POST
16. An individual may ship a firearm by posting it only if
(a) the firearm is a non-restricted firearm, restricted firearm or prohibited handgun;
(b) the destination is within Canada; and
(c) the firearm is posted using the most secure means of transmission by post that is offered by the Canada Post Corporation that includes the requirement to obtain a signature on delivery.

Mine said 'Pro Golf', the Canada Post lady asked if I was going to be out enjoying the day with my new toy. It was a 15' Grizzly Mag.. .lol

My 1911 delivery

My 1911 commander came from a cgner here and was delivered by canada post into my mailbox hanging at my front door.

I was rather shocked, mostly about that it probably was sitting there all afternoon and early evening in my mailbox, easily viewable by all passing by.

I kinda laughed a bit at that after i opended up the box.
i laughed at the fact that we all have to store our firearms so well and to code at home, but this pistol was in its case, wrapped in paper, no trigger lock or case lock on it. my mailbox and home was in a condo unit, the pistol was stickin 2/3 the way out of the mailbox when i got home from work that day.

crazy hey?
WTF ever! I guess.Lucky that nobody just grabbed it walking by that day.

I wonder who would be at fault from the police as to the responsibility of storage of and the security of the pistol if it were scooped out of my box that day?

It sure as fu%k would not have been me, not knowing the date of delivery, or way of delivery.
but it was already transfered to me, so... what then? hey?

CanAm shipped mine with Expresspost and I signed for my 15" Grizzly Mag when the postman delivered it. I once heard of a guy who ordered 2 rifles and they were both stolen from his front door, because the postman just left them there without getting a signature.

you wouldn't have been responsible for that, it is the law, as posted above that the firearm must be shipped with "Signature Required" selected. If it had that and mr canada post just let it there then it's on canada post, if they shipped a restricted without the signature option then I'm sure it's on them IMO anyway
