Question about IDF Mauser

I have more than one, but the one I shoot on occasion is a good shooter, even with surplus copper washed ammo. It is in nice condition. I shall have to dig however many I've got out of the pile and try shooting them as well. :)

I bought one that had been put through the wringer a couple months ago. All the springs needed replacement, parts had various bits of surface corrosion on them, some in the white, etc.

However the stock is beautiful and the bore was very good after a treatment of foaming bore cleaner. I shimmed the rear tang and did a light re-crowning as well.

My first group out of it was approximately one inch at 100 yrds with Lake City 7.62 ammo (just way off to the right). After it warmed up it seemed to settle in to 1.5 inches on avg.

Shoots just as well as my Yugo K98 capture with a fresh 8mm barrel on it, and will likely see more use.

I think these are really under valued as collector pieces. It's not every day you come across a rifle with swastikas and a star of david on it.
