Question about outlow combo

It's safe. The chamber is longer to accommodate 3" shells but it will also work just as well with 2-3/4". I've been shooting the 2-3/4" in my 3" Mossberg for years with no problems.

The designated shell length on the shotgun barrel data stamp is the MAXIMUM length you can shoot. That length or shorter is safe to shoot but NEVER longer than the length specified on the barrel.

No problem. FYI you can get and shoot 2 1/2" shells as well. They are usually toted as being reduced recoil loads.. also safe to shoot in your outlaw.

To the original poster, thanks for asking this question as I myself was unsure of the answer and am happy for the information given by more informed shooters.
