Question about PAL Application?

Today Finaly the CFC website states that they have Received my Application and it is being Procesed!

it also states that i have been or will be contacted in the near Future!

So do they Always Contact you or only some times?
Also once its on the site is it 28 days from the day they Recived it untill its sent to the Province CFO?

I tried to look this up but couldnt Find what i was looking for!

They will call you and your references to ask a few backgroundy questions.

If you are lucky your license will be issued on the 28th day and you will have it a week or two after that.

Thanks thats what i had assumed from reading other posts!

But do they always call or is it somthing they do Random!

I believe that lately they call everyone. Me and my references were called within the first week (this was back in April). Make sure your references know to get back to them ASAP if they miss the call. It can really hold up things if they don't.

Just sent in my renewal and noted that references aren't required...I guess they figure if nothing terrible happened in the first five years?
