I have a rem 700 with threaded barrel and usually run a brake on it but sometimes it's better to take it off when the range is busy. My question is does anyone make a threaded target crown in 5/8x24? Will it be better than the standard no crown end?

The crown is the end of the barrel...right where the rifling ends and the bullet no longer touches the barrel... anything you thread on should not interfere with the crown...

^^^this.

if your only taking the brake off at the range, no big deal.. if you head out to the bush with the rifle, getting a thread protector may be a good idea

Looking for someone to do a target crown as well as a threading job on a hunting rifle after the season is done. Do you do that, guntech? I am an easy drive away.
