So I bought one and thanks for the heads up about what I was actually getting, it's a great price at $149 but defiantly a referb. Its a 1951, nice but a few minor dings, everything matches serial number wise but the gas tube is defiantly not the original, though its from the same year or close to it judging by the design. I quite like the black bayonet, especially since I might mod this one with a Tapco or ATI stock, it could look cool.
I have to say though, this is my second SKS and I never realized with my first one how nice my first really was. It was a refurb too, but its almost in pristine condition compared to others I am seeing now.... no dings, very nice colour & grain, very clean.
All in all I am very happy, these are both shooters to me since I'm not a collector per se... and the total cost for both was $318, what a deal!
