Question about Winchester Centennials?

Hello,

I have a neighbour that would like to get more information about the value of 2 Centenial model 94 Winchesters he has that he bought brand new in 1980's and stored them as "collectors items" ever since. He is an older gentleman and I want to make sure he doesn't get taken advantage of when he sells them. I'm a pistol guy with no Winchester knowledge, so I thought I would help him out by asking my fellow CGN'ers out there for some information.

He has 2 brand new never fired and only taken out of the original boxes 4 times, everything is complete including both inner and outer boxes and documentation for both:

1. Winchester Saskatchewan Jubilee centennial

2. Winchester CRP (Canadian Pacific) centennial

I checked them out my self today and they are absolutely GORGEOUS and in perfect condition including the boxes as well.

Could someone tell me what they are worth if he were to try and sell them on CGN?

They are both rare guns, my guess would be $800 to $900 each

Not a whole lot more than a plain Pre '64 Model 94 in excellent condition.

While they are in great shape, they are not rare. What is rare is the condition of the rifles and their boxes.
Price is whatever the market will bear and the potential buyer's desire. I have seen similar rifles go for $250 all the way up to $700.
