The attached clip is just one example and will lend great insight that some folks will find interesting.......

Watching Larry Potterfield's (MidwayUSA) gunsmithing videos is a favourite pastime of mine.

Great video. Never went like that when I tried, lol.
Thanks.

Only cause the video doesn't show them crawling all over the floor looking for that little thing-a-ma-jiggy they lost!

But the video sure does show you what goes into a "decent" double barrel production and many are even more complicated. Aside from showing the internals, one must also remember the actual making of the stock and mechanical parts, fitting, engraving and regulating of the barrels.

Just enough information in that video to give a guy like me the confidence to try it myself, get into real trouble and then show up at some gunsmith's carrying that parts box.

Thanks for posting that. Ol' Jack makes things look easy. After watching another one of his videos, I almost considered making my own V-spring. Almost ;)

You should have gone for it. I've made two. Both work great and it's incredibly satisfying to fix a broken gun properly by oneself. Having said that, the choice of what guns to do these projects on is critical - less expensive guns make better test beds for rookies.
