question for 10/22 build experts

Dlask told me no CCI ammunition (of any type) in the Bentz chamber. Having said that I know alot of people run different types of CCI ammo without hitch in the Bentz chamber. I ordered one in the sporter chamber so I could fire everything except stingers without worry.

I tried the MOE-K grip in FDE and liked the look but not the feel. It was just to short and narrow for me, and I have smaller hands so I went to the Hogue.

I ordered some rails from Cobra Tactical in the US and then followed up with a phone call to ensure they would send it to Canada. They said no problem and are waiting on it from Troy before sending. I am still sceptical though. I'll let you know if I actually get them. BTW, shipping was an outrageous flat rate.

Bought from FabSports. I think they are out now. They didn't have the tactical version available. I am not sure if they did have it previously.

Good to know, I have larger hands and I did like the MOE grip, if all else fails I'll probably just pick-up a MOE grip and trim off the back strap. Of course could also go for a MIAD but I'll find out later.

cool..
I've just ordered the same chassis as yours and i should have it in a couple of weeks. I'll search for trx rail kits as well, as that is the only difference between the sport and tactical models.
ok, more questions about bentz chambers.
Is it safe to assume that it will feed most ammo except stingers? how about mini mags? Or regular bulk Federal, etc. ?
Any input helps greatly.

A sporter chamber is not as tight as a bentz. This will allow you to chamber most .22LR cartridges without keeping the bolt from fully closing. Stingers are slightly longer in case length than an average .22LR, so it is dicey in a sporter chamber, and a definite no in a bentz chamber. Correct me if I'm wrong, but CCI ammunition in general seems to be out of spec with .22LR. All other CCI ammo, except stingers, should be fine in the sporter chamber.

Hi Hoyt,

In your experience when dealing with Dlask, are they willing to customize there barrels? For example, would they be willing to chamber a barrel specifically for CCI loads? Or are they pretty stiff? I would buy that 12.5" sporter they have if it came in stainless steel (they only make it in blued). Even better if the could cut the chamber for CCI loads.

thanks!

I emailed and Joe quoted me $40 for Dlask sporting chamber and custom length for a .750" bbl. Hoytcannon tells me his Dlask sporting chambered barrels love Blazer both relibility and accuracy wise. Seems like the way to go. They make a 16.5" SS bbl so I'm sure Dlask can get you exactly what you want. Ive found their products and service to be excellent, especially for the good prices they have.

I got a lot of blazer, so that's great news. Would love to get that 12.5" sporter in SS, maybe with some fluting.
