Question for benchrest shooters?

A bit of both.
While picking up on what the wind is doing some minor adjustments.
When waiting on the wind it is quicker to move the hold.
It took a while today but when my three flags were showing the orange side of the vanes and I could see more of the black side of the balls the hold was on the edge of the 100 ring at 1:00 - 2:00. My best targets were a 1800 and 1900.

I tend to make adjustments throughout the target and am wondering if im chasing the wind a little too much. I just cant seem to trust myself to hold off. Im also having a hard time concentrating on more than one flag at a time.

What do you do when shooting in the wind? Do you adjust your scope or hold over?

The match I shot in yesterday had the wind gusting and totally unpredictable- we were holding over about 1- 1 1/2" with the optics to find the Xring .
A second later it would die to nothing but was not predictable as far as picking back up.

I'd say you read the wind pretty well at yesterday's 50yd 22 match. A perfect 400 score with lots of X' s! A good turnout of 29 entries for both classes. See ya at the provincial Team Shoot this month. ☺
