I have an SP-01 Shadow that is my favorite gun of all time.
I don't like the massive safety however, I find it gets in the way of the slide release (left side of gun).
Has anyone replaced theirs with a safety from a combat model 75, or (gasp) run without the safety altogether? Will that work?
TIA

The safety has to be there, it holds the sear cage in place.

The ShadowLine comes with super slim safeties. Sounds like that is the part you want, either switch parts or upgrade to a ShadowLine gun.

May I suggest you contact Cajun Gun Works and ask. I do not know if they export parts to Canada, but David is a great guy and has a strong following of cZ shooters.

I put a CZ flat sided safety on the right side of my shadow as my trigger finger was engaging the large ambi safety during matches, and left the large left safety in place.

If you are looking for the parts a-zone (sorry u will have to google them for their website) usually has a large inventory of CZ shadow parts in stock.

I have and can install flush safeties for the CZ, best thing going in my mind. You can still use them if you desire, or just ignore them.

Not really on topic but probably better than starting yet another Shadow thread.

Question 1: What should be the internal dimension of the Shadow (CZ 75) magazine feed lips? I know the ones I have are spreading out and I want to try squishing in a vice, but would like to know the proper spec dimension.

Question 2: What should I do about a Shadow that has safety levers that wiggle around when I pull the trigger? The diameter of the safety circles must be smaller than the frame circle cut.
