Question for Marlin 1894 owners

Yes, you just push it off. On one side of the sight there is a slot, and a notch in the bottom of the front hood sight locks into it, since the front sight cover also functions as a locking spring.

Use a hardwood dowel and some taps from a small hammer to move it TOWARD the muzzle. It will save chasing it and or cutting your hand/fingers when pushing it off. Check the sight ramp screw(s) somewtimes (almost always) they are loose if they have been under the hood for a long time.
cheers Darryl
