Question for Mauser folks... 1942 FN Mauser in 8mm - I can't find info about that one

Hi folks,

Well, aside from the fact that I know next to nothing about Mausers, I couldn't even trust good old Google to provide me with much about a rifle I'm being offered.

The only info I have is in this thread's title - 1942 FN Mauser, dated 1942, non sporterized, in 8mm. What would this be typically fetching, ballpark price range, and would I spontaneously fall in love with everything Mauser after that? ???

Lou, FN never made any Military Mausers during the German occupation (early 1940 to late 1944), only parts, is it possible this Mauser is a sporting one? Or could it be a 1924 FN mauser in 8x57mm!

We need some pics. As others stated FN wasn't making rifles at that time.

It sounds interesting for sure so I hope you can get some more details or pics.
