Question for Ruger 10/22 experts

Will aftermarket regular 10/22 stocks fit a Ruger 10/22 22Mag? In other words is the 10/22LR stock the same size as the 10/22Mag?

No. The 22 Mag has a longer receiver so the stock has a longer cut out for the receiver.

Are there aftermarket stocks for the Mag? How hard would it be to modify a regular 10/22 stock? Anyone tried that?

Boyds and Hogue both make stocks for the 10/22 Mag.

Thanks for the tip checked both Boyds and Hogue. I'm thinking something more tacticool like the ATI stocks. Really like the idea of a handy semi auto with a foldable stock and 25 round magazines in 22Mag
