My Uncle has an old Savage that he has asked me to try and find a prcie on as he wants to sell it.
Here is what I know so far.

It is a Savage 99 F in .308 Winchester.

What does the F mean?
I know Savage 99's have quite a following of dedicated fans, and that different variations can command quite a price sometimes, but that is all I know.

Anyone here have any ideas? I will try and get more info about it or, from it to answer any questions you need answers to, to help me out

Thanks in advance.

Nate,

99 F is featherweight. It was the lightest 99 produced at the time. Condition is king! As with the economy and other rifle prices they have been dropping since last summer, which probably was an all time high. Money is tightening up. The other deciding factor will be lever safety or tang safety. The lever safety being the more desirable one. Would need pictures to give to top dollar price. But an original un molested rifle in good shape would be $500 - $600. Less if it has lots of bluing wear, aftermarket swivels or studs, cracks in the wood. More if it is like NIB.
