I picked up a 597 magnum with the intention of using for hunting foxes, bunnies and coyotes. I lint my shots to under 200 yds because, well I have yet to hit anything past that with my centerfires anyway.
My original plan was to use the 25 and 30 grain High velocity polymer tipped rounds now on the market. I never even considered that the 597 would not properly cycle these light rounds.
So my questions for you guys...
What ammo do your 597s love? Accuracy wise, flattest trajectory, and best for killin em past 100 yds?
Any other comments about this beautiful rifle?
