Do you clean the piston every time with the corrosive?My 2023 dated Bren 2 in 7.62x39 has seen just shy of 5.5k rounds since March…zero issues. 11” model, 3 position has system that is ported…my ammo has been 90% bulk Chinese corrosive (Type 56 ammo)
I don't use corrosive ammunition personally (my range doesn't allow steel core ammunition, and almost all corrosive x39 ammo is also steel cored), but I've read enough of these Bren 2 x39 threads to know that the people who do shoot corrosive frequently highly recommend rinsing out the parts (all parts that can have corrosive residue, especially the barrel but all other parts as well) after every range session firing corrosive ammunition with one of the following:
