I am trying to decide what to do.
my last few years I have been doing a trip each year.
2012 Alberta for whitetail deer
2013 I did Africa for Cape Buffalo
2014 I went to Alberta for Whitetails
2015 I went to AB for a mulie hunt
2016 I didn't travel for hunting- was too busy building my house.
2017 I did Kyrgyzstan for Mid Asian Ibex
2018 I did Azerbaijan for Dagestan Tur

2019 I am thinking either Pakistan for Himalayan Bharal/Blue sheep or just Himalayan Ibex or a combo of both with a trek to K2 base camp thrown in. Also considering heading back to Africa because it is just so relaxing and well run there. Was thinking Zimbabwe for buffalo and plains game or leopard and plains game if a great deal popped up.

I also just got a call from a friend of mine (outfitter) for a cancellation hunt in Turkey for Bezoar Ibex. it is only 10k USD for a good area and a real chance of a 44-48 inch Ibex. Hunt would have to be in March of 2019. The Bezoar Ibex is on my list for sure as it is a spectacular animal that lives in beautiful country and I love Turkey and the people there.

DO I do that hunt and put the Pakistan off or do I really research into the Pakistan one and head on that grand adventure?

I am at a bit of a loss and its hard to ask anyone for advice since most haven't been on a travel hunt before.

I know there is lots of hunting in Canada as well and I have tried for the last 2 years to add a Canadian hunt but the fires in BC and life in general got in the way.

I really enjoy the far away land expedition hunts.

whatever you choose you will have fun.

we have a few far away land to offer locally ... just thinking about polar bear ... but closer you ve got a lot of mountains that are far from civilisation and a moose caribou grizzly sheep combo on horse hunt for 28 days can be interesting .... but for good outfit one year ahead is certainly not enough time.

at this point in my life I am not that interested in the North American stuff. My main focus of my money/time and thinking right now is Asian mountain game.

Well, a few things come to mind, sheep aren’t getting any cheaper or more plentiful, same with the Brown and Polar Bears with the political climate. This said I understand the allure of Leopard. I’d be looking at the hunts on your bucket list that won’t be available later in life. The deer et al will always be there, others will see price climbs or population decreases or both as habitat is encroached, and I’d eye some of them sooner rather than later.

What about Iran? Maybe a Persian Ibex will scratch an itch. Perhaps it is just my perception, but Iran is still very exotic yet safer than the mountainous regions of Pakistan.

I love that movie.

MY personal trainer is a Jamaican guy, black dude- has become a good friend of mine over the last 2 years he has been prepping me for mountain hunts. I am white. I invited him shooting at my hunting club one time and he was like "oooh nnooooo I saw that movie with ICE T I know how you be trying to get the brothers out to the hunt club then we the game".

It was pretty funny.

good flick tho. hokey but a good flick.
