Question for the Savage gurus

Savage produced a mdl 111 in .300 Remington Ultra Mag for a few years

Was this rifle:

1) Based on the standard long action or was it a special action?

2) Was this a large or small shank?

3) What is the approx value of these rifles?

Your help would be greatly appreciated

1, yes but the mag box and follower are special, action, mag cut out and most bolts were modified. Most had the WSM style controlled round feed which also has a fixed ejector installed into a machined slot in the action.

3, probably 100-150 more than the regular action because of the limited number of them for people to convert
