My new P226 NAVY shoot a little low. I shoot a G17 pistol and a Smith 586 revolver too and thoses shoot dead center. Just to make sure, what is the proper sight picture with Sig pistols? Do i put the front dot inside the rear notch on top of the white bar or outside the notch to form a " i " shape?

Thanx

That is correct. You also cover the bullseye with the front sight, as opposed to aiming at six o'clock.

If that doesn't work, try different ammo. For some reason, some Sigs come with #6 front and #8 rear sights, while others have #8 all-around. I have a #6 front sight on my P226 and I find that 147 gr UMC ammo shoots point of aim, while 124 gr shoots a little low.

My front and rear sight is #8. I shoot 115gr bullets pushed by 5.7gr of IMR 4756. Just to make sure i have take pics of the sights, witch is the proper sight, picture A or B ?

A

I found that on my SIG P220 elite with night sights, it is A that is correct, but the front dot has to cover the bulls eye. I am used to having A but the point of impact being at the top of the front sight. Now it is in the middle of the front dot. This resulted in me shooting way too low for the fist few rounds until I figured this out. I was shooting ####ty Win White box .45ACP 185gr BRB.

Mind you B might be a nice technique for handling aiming at longer distances, once you get to know your gun and it's preferred load.
