ok i am relativly new to hunting and even newer to shotguns i think i may have found a decent 12 gauge pump for sale for the price i am willing to pay i just want to make sure that a 12 guage will be appropriate for Rabbit, duck, and goose. if it isnt great for goose that isnt a BIG deal as im more interested in duck and rabbit anyway and im tired of trying to make the running shots with a .22 lol

the 12 is fine for duck and goose might be a bit much for close in rabbits unless you use a larger size of shot otherwise you will have a whole lot of shot in a tiny bit of rabbit LOL for rabit a break barrel 410 should suffice and can usualy be found for under $150 but anyway back to the original question yes that 12 gauge your looking at will gladly provide you years of enjoyment with ducks geese and rabbit, just take care of it and it will take care of you

i havent been succesfull since i moved up here to ontario but back home i tag a decent one (bear) every season

The important "features" on a 12 gauge are... IMHO...

3 or 3.5 inch chamber
Choke tubes (for versatility)
Vent rib (for easier sighting)

Other than that, your good to go...

Cheers
Jay

A 12 gauge pump is very versatile.... good choice! You'll be able to use light 2 3/4" field loads to slugs and find ammo almost everywhere.
