Question: Importation of a Lower

Quick question. I'm curious about how one might import a lower. Specifically, if it is not yet for sale in this country, does each and every AR patterend lower require a separate FRT or is an AR an AR?

I'll have to tag this for interest. I'm coming up short in looking for the lower that I want in Canada, so depending on how complicated it is, I may look in to bringing one in from the US.
 
I believe you should be able to just import it through an appropriate exporter. The way I understand it is the pattern change for FRT will occur when you mate it with an upper and if the RCMP lab has not seen the combination (lower plus barrel length) they will simply have a tech create a new FRT for it.
