I roll my own 45/70 Gov . My question is some time when I am deprimming and resizing the case with my Dillon 550 , I have some cases deform on me . I use lub and the hole nine yards , but one out of three will have small dimples half way down the case . why , and how can I stop that . thanks in advance Joe Lafortune CD

Sounds like oil dents, back off on the lube. 45-70 doesn't need a lot, at least with my Lyman dies.
If they are just lube dents, the cases/loads are fine, just fire them, and the dents will go away. Even wrinkled cases, (assuming they will chamber) if used for moderate loads will be fine in a 45-70.

What kind of lube you using? Believe it or not lube is one thing lee does right, and when applied by fingers you put so little on its near invisible...If it still happens, then apply the lee lube, let dry then size
