Hey Guys...

Got a question for you..

Many years ago I had a red dot type sight for a .22 that was a fiber optic non electric scope, with a clear bubble in the front..

Does anyone remember these ?

If so,,who were they made by,, and are they still being made ??

Are there any other fiber optic scope like devices on the market ??

Thanks for your help...

There were acouple that I can think of. One is the Weaver Quick Point. It is no longer made.
The other is the Armson OEG ( Occluded Eye Gunsight) . AFAIK this is still made. You don't look through this sight, you keep both eyes open and the dot appears in you field of vision. I have one of these on a Gevarm .22 and it is my favourite "running gopher" rifle.

Hey Anvil..

Yes,, a shame they don't make the Qwik Point any more.. They were pretty decent for their time..

As for the other one..

Do you know who sells these ??

It's an electronic device or no ??

Thanks very much for your time..

Hey Anvil..

Thanks for the link..

Thats a pretty nice sight....

I'm working on a Qwik point right now,, but I'll seriously consider one of these..

Might work well on my slug gun....

Thanks again..

I had the chance to use an OEG equipped AR-15 - lightning fast at close to medium range, and super easy to hit with, I'm surprised they never really caught on. They're not really a "scope" though, you actually look at a black tube with a dot in it. Tons of fun and highly recomended!
