Question on production division

Hi everyone,

I'm a little bit confused about the Production division, maybe because I'm used to pistols : To be in this division, should a rifle be in its factory configuration exactly (excluding accessories) including stock/chassis ? Or is it possible to purchase a barreled action and put it in a chassis ?

I'm not new to precision shooting but the rules of PRS confuse me. I'm thinking of getting a Tikka barrelled action in 308 and dropping it in an MDT chassis to cover a few divisions.

Tikka barrelled action + MDT Chassis = Open Division. But 308 you could shoot in Tactical Division.

To compete in Production division it has to be in configuration as from the manufacturer (factory trigger, action, barrel, stock/chassis). Max price of $3000USD (as a listed MSRP) and scope max of $2500USD (MSRP).

Now if you’re a Tikka fan, they just announced the ACE rifle this year. So if you can get your hands on that rifle you should qualify for Production division.

It's less about being a fan and more about liking the triggers and bolts, also I'm cursed on Bergara and Savage, I always end up with bolt binding on the clock.
