Will they stand up to acetone or lacquer thinner for 2 hours without dying? I am working on some injectors and have thought that an inexpensive ultrasonic might turn the trick on cleaning the injector baskets.

Specifically looking at the Hornady ultrasonic unit.

Thanks!

Well mine didn't stand up to vinegar, water and salt. Plus it says don't use anything flammable.

I cleaned injectors using a ultra sonic cleaner and basic ultrasonic cleaner. College we just used clean diesel.

I have a couple handfuls of Perkins Bosch injectors to clean, 1 set of Buddha power 12v injectors and finally my LS2 injectors to clean.

Looks like I’ll stick to my parts washer and air over solvent push through setup.

Trying to get away from the mess of spraying. Either that or pickup that Chinesium version on amazon that is sonic and balance tube equipped.

Some put the parts in a smaller container/bag filled with the "degreaser" and put that in the ultrasonic that is fill with water.

I do as mentioned - a small jar with seafoam and/or injector cleaner placed in the water bath - if i am not mistaken, the waves transmit thru glass and into solvent, and small glass jar in water bath is somewhat safer - used to clean outboard injectors, works great! I think Seafoam is a mix of petrol solvents (similar to Naptha) and acetone...play safe.
Actually am not using the ultrasonic much for brass lately - gone to annual steel pin tumbling and in between, corn/walnut vibe as needed.
Do like the shiny brass!
