Question RE Baikal double stack Makarov pistols

Hi all.

Would anyone here know if double stack Makarov pistols accept the standard grips found on the original single stack military surplus pistols? I'd been thinking about picking up one of the more recent Baikal pistols but I don't care much for the chunky grips that they come with.

If the double stack pistols require special grips would anyone here know where those could be found?

Pearce used to make one (or still does if your email them???). I'm not a Makarov fan, so I'm not completely sure, but aren't those magazines much more expensive/harder to find than the single?

Just FYI picking up a Makarov, especially for a decent price isn't easy. I should have jumped on the .380 I was offered a while back but #### the bed instead.
