I was rummaging through my spare parts box and came across a little BSA shotgun scope in 2.5X. When I read up on it, it says that it's parallax free to 100yds. Does that mean out to or in to 100 yds. The reason I'm asking is that I have a .22 that needs a scope, and this would be a great little scope for it, but with the ranges it will be used at, parallax would be an issue. I know an adequate scope with AO can be bought fairly cheap, but this one is small, very sharp, and I know it is rock solid, as it's handled a ton of slugs atop a shotgun.

"parallax free to 100yds" is not something I've seen before. Typically, you'll see "at 100yds", or "from 100yds"which means that parallax is not an issue from 100yds to infinity. I suspect something got lost in translation...

Try that scope on your 22 and you'll likely be fine. If you notice parallax* at close range, make an effort to always center your eye with the scope tube and the scope parallax shouldn't affect your accuracy very much.

* parallax is noticed by the point of aim (crosshair) moving relative to the target as you move your head but not the gun/scope
