Question Re. Scope base - Picatinny Rail for Sauer 202 30-06 standard

Hi all

Just finally found a new Sauer 202 in 30-06. I'm trying to find a scope mounting rail on it such as a picatinny or weaver rail. I found one from Leupold but they are labelled SA and LA. The problem is that Sauer doesn't do SA and LA. They have a Medium action and a Magnum action. Medium covers all standard cartridges they offer, and magnum, well.. covers magnums.

So My question is:
1 - do you happen to know if the Leupold backcountry cross-slot rail in an SA will fit the medium action?

2 - If not the above, any other ideas that won't cost an arm and a leg? (some of the euro mounts were $700)

Go to Leupold.com website . Select "Products". Select "Mounts". select " Mount Finder" - fill in your information and you will get their recommendation... Just FYI, they do not show a "steel" one piece base for that rifle.

Thanks. I mentioned the leupold mount in my question. I believe the following is on leupold site and a one piece rail, which is what I was referring to.

My question was that it says it's for an SA. Sauer doesn't come in an SA. It's medium and magnum so is SA their way of saying non magnum?

I didn't buy the leupold rail because they only make a 20 moa and the rail doesn't have a groove to see the irons. I'm pretty sure the sa is the standard and la is magnum, but you can call someone who has one in stock (Epps) and ask them to measure the centre hole distance.

I like the era-tac rail. It's 91$.
